When I visited the Southern Patagonian Ice Field during 2017, conditions were less than optimal. Day after day it either rained or snowed, making it extremely difficult to capture images. Indeed, during a two-week stretch (when we were mostly holed up and trying to wait out the conditions), I saw the sun three times. This was one of those times when the sun graced us with a visit. Fortunately, I was there to capture the moment.
