Torres del Paine

Patagonia

The Mirador Las Torres hike was the most difficult one I endured during my trip to Patagonia in 2016. However, it was also the most rewarding. The hike was done over a two-day period. On day one I hiked to the base, where I camped. The next morning I went the rest of the way up (just one kilometer — but one that requires boulder scrambling all the way up). When I finally reached the top, the winds were calm, the towers were not obscured by clouds, and I was treated to this view.
