Wonderland

Utah

I captured this image in late fall. It was about 20 degrees and the sun was trying to fight its way through clouds (and succeeding ever so slightly). But these were great conditions for this scene, especially because the light was so even throughout. These aspens are part of Pando, a clonal grove of quaking aspen trees in the Fishlake National Forest (central Utah). Pando is considered one of the largest living organisms on Earth.
