Abiqua Falls

Located near Scotts Mills, Oregon, Abiqua Falls is one of those waterfalls that requires a little planning if you want the place to yourself. You need to either be extremely early (before anyone has arrived) or extremely late (after everyone has left). Whether you’re early or late, though, you’ll likely do some hiking in the dark. Additionally, the hike down requires some scrambling through muddy and moist terrain. Once you’re at the bottom, you then need to walk along the creek (and sometimes in it). It’s worth the trouble, though, because you’ll be treated to a scene like this.
